TITLE: Faculty Associate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Teach in Social Work classrooms; prepare syllabus and class materials, prepare and administer exams.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Graduate degree required. Demonstrated experience in teaching or training in one of the areas listed below or other applicable practice experience. (Various positions in the following areas;  Direct Practice, Human Behavior, Social Policy and Services, Planning, Administration and Community Practice and Research). Note: MSW required for Direct and Community Practice positions.

DESIRED
MSW, DSW, or PhD highly desirable

GENERAL INFORMATION
Recruitment at 20% FTE or greater, not to exceed 49%.  An employment background check will be performed prior to employment offer. Arizona State University is a large, progressive state university with a student body of approximately 50,000 in 11 colleges offering undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.  The School of Social Work, founded in 1963, offers BSW, MSW degrees (accredited by CSWE) and a doctoral program in Policy, Administration, and Research.  It has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students.  The School’s program offers concentrations in Direct Practice and Planning Administration and community Practice at the MSW level.  Positions are available at the Tempe campus, Downtown Phoenix Campus and Tucson component.
