FIELD EDUCATION EVENTS


Field Instructor Certification Training:

Parking is reserved for attendees at the ASU Cronkite Building surface visitor parking lot at the corner of Fillmore and 1st Street.  However, we cannot validate your parking sticker.  The cost is $3/hr. or $12/maximum, or you can purchase a Day Pass for $8 online.  Go to: http://uabf.asu.edu/parking_visitor_downtown, scroll down to “One-Day Pass.”  Walk to the ASU University Center Building from the parking lot from Fillmore and 1st Street by walking south on 1st Street to Taylor, turn right onto Taylor and continue to walk west until you reach the entrance to the ASU University Center Building on your left.  Go to Room 279 on the second floor. 

Interested in becoming one of our certified field instructors?
If you are a social worker with a BSW or MSW degree, have had two years of postgraduate work and are interested in becoming one of our certified field instructors, please send a letter of interest and a resume to marde.closson@asu.edu.  She will review your resume to see if you meet our criteria for field instruction.  These will be reviewed in November, and if approved, a registration form will be sent to you.

Preparation for Practice Training:
January 15, 2010 (Friday) -- Exact Time and Location TBA


This is an all-day mandatory training for incoming BSW and MSW students to help them prepare for their internship experience.

Registration is not required.

Students will be required to sign in twice on this day: (1) upon arrival in the morning; (2) after lunch.
