Testifying in Court: A Guide for Child Protective Service Workers

Testifying in Court DVD

DVD and Discussion Guide only $100!
If you are an instructor, you need this DVD for your class or workshop!

Testifying in court is often a source of anxiety for social workers. This anxiety can be reduced by becoming familiar with court proceedings and understanding the importance of preparation. The DVD illustrates a review hearing in a dependency case. The participants are attorneys and social workers. While the case identifiers have been removed, the testimony, cross examination, and rulings by the judge are realistic. The court process is formal and adversarial but one that social workers can master. The accompanying guide provides detailed descriptions of the process and includes questions for discussion. The DVD is 66 minutes long: the Tesifying portion is 48 minutes and the Review and Discussion portion is 18 minutes. To purchase, fill out and return this order form.
