2005 Conference
2005 SPIRITUALITY CONFERENCE: Pathways to Personal and Social Transformation
We are pleased to announce a major conference on the subject of spirituality in human services: Spirituality: Pathways to Personal and Social Transformation, Radisson City Center, 181 West Broadway, Tucson, Arizona, June 24-26, 2005.
The ASU School of Social Work and The Arizona Project for Spirituality and Social Work, in association with the National Association of Social Workers Arizona Chapter and the Society for Spirituality in Social Work are seeking additional partners to help sponsor this important event.
As you are probably aware, a range of governmental initiatives (emerging from the White House, SAMHSA, the Arizona Governor's Office, ADHS/DBHS and other state agencies), educational institutions, various provider organizations, and healthcare accreditation bodies are now emphasizing the inclusion of spiritual resources in client care. This shift in focus offers us an exciting and challenging opportunity to help shape best practices, especially those addressing the treatment of diverse client populations and professional ethics.
We expect that this conference will be of national importance, with presenters and attendees coming from across the country.
